URBAN-TERM URBAN INTELLIGENT FURNITURE FOR THERMAL CONFORT OUTDOORS

The innovative URBAN - TERM project, which has been developed by the company MOLDER-DISNOVA, SL and is financed by IVACE (Institut Valencià de Competitivitat Empresarial), has as its objective the development of a heated smart bench based on composites of fiberglass, in addition to having the ability to be powered by photovoltaic solar energy.

The URBAN-TERM proposal will allow the development of a heated bench for thermal comfort outdoors, in addition to being economical and efficient, without the need for connection to the electrical network for its correct operation. This avant-garde research is a national and international novelty.

To achieve its development, the technological disciplines are brought together: Smart Composites and flexible printed electronics, which allow the integration of new functionalities in composite materials. Specifically, the AIMPLAS company collaborating in the project, participates in the development of Plastronics for the integration of flexible electronics in plastic materials and composites.

The new URBAN-TERM project will allow the development of a range of smart urban furniture products, based on the integration of flexible electronics and microelectronics in resin and fiberglass composites, placing the company MOLDER-DISNOVA, SL as an international benchmark in Smart Composites.

This project is aligned with the ODS 11 with the aim of fighting for sustainable cities. In addition, it is financed by the Conselleria d'Economia Sostenible, Sectors Productius, Comerç i Treball of the Generalitat Valenciana through the aid of IVACE and with the co-financing of the FEDER funds of the European Union, within the FEDER Operational Program of the Valencian Community 2014-2020.
